Box is actively looking for an outstanding leader for our Corporate Events team. This role will have primary responsibility for Box's extensive conference sponsorship program in the US, working on key industry shows and maximizing Box's presence and ROI at each. This is a great opportunity to help shape the industry presence for a growing company. The position is located in our Los Altos headquarters office. This is a multi-faceted and dynamic position that's both strategic and hands-on. You will oversee the events strategy for Box, plan and execute large-scale conference sponsorships including multi-touch pre- and post-event communication plans. You will also work closely with the Demand Generation team to ensure all events leads are managed and followed appropriately.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Drive cross-functional teams - Marketing, Business Development, Product and Partner teams - to execute against top tier sponsorships such as Dreamforce, RSA, Gartner and more
  • Establish clear business goals and success criteria/metrics with cross-functional team and drive team towards those goals. Present post-event analysis and results
  • Manage budgets and people resources for all shows, working to maximize impact and savings and impact
  • Develop communication plans for net new and existing contacts from 3rd party events including pre, during and post show plans to drive engagement and pipeline
  • Manage and own our Box World Tour and CIO Summits, working with sponsors as well as owning the execution and management of several key ancillary events
  • Ownership of all components of managed events with ability to communicate action items, responsibilities and updates to team and internal stakeholders
  • Work with other team members to assist on other projects and jump into custom Box programming as needed
  • At least 30% travel (largely domestic but some international)


    Required Skills

  • At least 10-12 years of successful experience in marketing, field marketing and/or demand generation, preferably at least 6 of those years in high-tech event execution
  • Strong project management skills with excellent communication skills - both oral and written - and experience working with and presenting to high level executives
  • BA/BS degree in business (marketing, communications or related area) or equivalent
  • Focus on business results: engaging target audience, generating pipeline
  • Ability to drive to data-driven measurements of success
  • Experience interacting with diverse sales team and sales leadership
  • Experience with lead generation, budget management and event planning
  • Strong ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally
  • Drive to continuously improve quality and results
  • Can-do attitude, good sense of humor, hard worker, self-motivated with pride in their work
  • Ability to work at both tactical and strategic level BA/BS degree in business (marketing, communications or related area) or equivalent
