Reporting to the Vice President of Marketing, the Director of Sports Activation will lead the Sports Activation team overseeing the planning, execution, and measurement of integrated marketing plans. As the team leader, this person will develop the go to market framework for all sport categories and develop strategies in the areas of Retail Marketing, PR, and Events.
In addition to leading the team, this person will personally lead all the planning and execution of baseball and softball marketing to drive SKLZ as a loved and trusted brand by athletes, coaches, parents and others involved in these sports.
RESPONSIBLITIES
Build the go to market plans for baseball and softball – identify the right partners, negotiate programs, and oversee execution
Work closely with the Diamond category manager to build marketing strategies that align with the broader Diamond business strategy
Report on results and impact of Diamond marketing executions
Define the retail marketing strategy and implement impactful marketing programs with key accounts
Work with retail merchandising partners on new ways to bring the SKLZ brand to life at retail to drive sales
Oversee PR strategy
Oversee Events strategy including support of the Direct Grassroots activations
10+ years Marketing management experience
Retail and partner marketing experience required
