The Event Media Manager will take the lead on leveraging the FanDuel live experience to create exciting and engaging marketing content pre-, per-, and post-event. Content will be utilized for a wide array of purposes, including but not limited to acquisition, retention, and brand awareness. This person will work closely with the Content, Communications, and Design departments. They will be responsible for conceptualizing, developing, and executing a live coverage plan for all live championships, with emphasis on our marquee events. Additionally, they will manage broadcast advertising buys in local markets with an eye towards expanding local user engagement with FanDuel’s regional and small-marketing live events.
Responsibilities
Leverage cross-departmental resources to create a variety of creative, engaging marketing content from live tournament experiences
Work closely with the live events team to ensure that all aspects of content creation are in sync with live event production and planning
Coordinate with the content-creation departments of corporate partners where co-branded live events are involved
Manage the inventory of live event marketing content so that it can be used effectively and easily by other departments
Work with Promotions & Events Manager to build and execute a live coverage plan for all live championships
Work closely with the Broadcast Marketing team to secure effective advertising for FanDuel’s local championships. Develop a plan for tracking the results of such media buys and work with local broadcast partners to continuously improve local user engagement.
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in a relevant field
Innovative and creative thinking
Experience with multi-genre content creation with a proven ability to manage multiple, overlapping projects
Ability to work across teams
Able to conceive a strategic vision as well as execute on a tactical level
