The Sponsorships Manager will support corporate sponsorship sales activity and lead sponsorship activation.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leads internal sponsorship activation, working closely with Corporate team and with internal stakeholders in all museum departments.
Liaise with external partners on sponsorship fulfillment.
Develops compelling sponsorship sales materials, including decks, proposals, and presentations.
Accompanies Associate Director or Director of Institutional Giving on sales meetings. Assists presenting and takes notes at meetings.
Coordinates Corporate program events.
Analyzes sponsorship results and produces sponsorship fulfillment reports.
Oversees a prospecting database that identifies prospective sponsors in various categories and industries, tracks sponsor activity in local, regional, national and global markets, and tracks competing properties sponsor/advertiser activity.
Assists with preparation for and follow-up on Board of Trustees Corporate Committee meetings.
Processes contributions, invoices, contracts, and performs other administration related to corporate sponsorship.
Tracks the expense budget and revenue goals for the Corporate team. Reconciles revenue tracking with Finance.
Provides some administrative support for corporate team, such as scheduling meetings, booking meeting rooms, creating agendas, and preparing handouts.
Attends weekly one-on-one meetings with Associate Director and meets regularly with the Corporate team, and attends appropriate industry networking events.
Serve as a Tessitura Super User by representing the Corporate Team on the Tessitura User Group (TUG); help team effectively use Tessitura to support ongoing business; assist team in identifying and developing requirements for reports, queries, list and other customizations; provide quality assurance for specific data; and conduct initial training and support for team members.

Education and Training: Bachelor of Arts degree required
Work Experience: 3-5 years of experience in a marketing, sponsorship or business development role.

Knowledge of the local and national corporate community
Excellent organizational skills and high attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple priorities, while meeting all deadlines
Entrepreneurial approach to fundraising
Prior experience working in a arts organization highly desirable
Knowledge and interest in the arts is a plus
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Physical Demands: Willingness to work flexible hours. Evening and weekend hours will be required on occasion. Some lifting associated with sponsorship fulfillment required.
Special Environmental Factors: Close office setting.
