The Sponsorships Manager will be a member of the new HP Global Events & Sponsorships Team.


In this role, the Sponsorships Manager will lead HP Inc.’s strategic sponsorship efforts, defining the sponsorship evaluation framework, evaluating and making recommendations on new opportunities, and managing existing sponsorship relationships to deliver against company objectives.


The Sponsorships Manager will partner with HP’s business groups and functional disciplines to align objectives, define requirements and drive best in class sponsorship delivery.


Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Driving the overall strategic direction of HP sponsorships; defining criteria to quantitively evaluate and make go/no decisions on new opportunities.
  • Identifying, structuring, closing and managing new strategic partnerships that are in line with HP Inc.’s business objectives.
  • Leading the day-to-day relationship management for a select set of existing strategic partners, working closely with HP Inc.’s product and marketing teams to drive the year plan of activities and activations.
  • Working with HP Inc.’s Corporate Communications and product and marketing teams to create content for sponsorship activities that is in line with the company’s brand and corporate narrative.
  • Providing regular reporting on partnership status to senior management.
  • Being the subject matter expert and thought leader on best-in-class sponsorship strategy and delivery.


    Required Skills

  • Prior experience identifying and managing sponsorships is a requirement for this position
  • Demonstrated experience with sponsor negotiation
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or related field; Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred
  • 7+ years of event management or marketing experience
  • Strong leadership and problem solving skills
  • Ability to effectively influence, persuade, and negotiate across organizational boundaries
  • Proven execution across virtual teams in a large, cross-functional matrix environment
  • Project management expertise and organizational skills, with strong attention to detail
  • Strong positive attitude and ability to multitask on different projects concurrently and react deftly to changes in business requirements
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with management, employees and vendors
  • Ability to work effectively and self-directed in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Previous experience working with customers, partners and sales teams a plus
  • Experience with events management and event tools a plus
  • Knowledge of HP businesses and products a plus
