The Event & Sponsorship Manager will plan, execute and evolve all national events & sponsorships, while overseeing strategy and management of the Woody program and local events.


What You'll be Doing:

  • Work with Experiential Marketing Manager (EMM) to develop strategic goals to grow the brand of Deschutes Brewery through National, Local & Woody event marketing efforts.
  • Work with the Brewers Association to plan & execute Deschutes Brewery's presence at and around all national industry events
  • Manage all details for any National programs & partnerships
  • Identify new national sponsorship / partnership opportunities
  • Establish and maintain relationships with sponsorship partners
  • Plan and manage execution
  • Track and report results & ROI
  • Provide strategy & insight to sales team on sponsorship opportunities on individual market level
  • Lead Mobile Marketing Brand Ambassador "Woody" program
  • Lead Local events / sponsorships
  • Work with any city officials and government organizations to secure all necessary permits, licensing and necessary processes are followed in a timely manner prior to events
  • Work with Corporate Executive Chef to identify culinary event opportunities to best highlight the Deschutes brand thru our pub & sustainability efforts
  • Help EMM implement new creative programs to evolve overall fan experience across all respective event platforms
  • Work with Education Marketing Manager to ensure Brand Ambassador program stays consistent and updated across event platform
  • Manage Event Brand Ambassadors- responsible for hiring, training and development and performance management of the team
  • Manage National events tactical budget; oversee Woody and local events budgets
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Energy, enthusiasm, positive attitude, proactivity, passion for excellence, self-motivated, creative


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration or other related field
  • High level of organization, multi-tasking & constant re-prioritization of tasks
  • Event experience required
  • Team management experience required
  • Marketing experience preferred
  • Experienced multi-tasker with extreme organizational skills required
  • Experience building and maintaining partnerships required
  • Ability to practice flexibility & problem solving on a regular basis
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude, especially in times of adversity – and continually motivate others
  • Ability to think strategically & creatively about overall programs in regards to guest experience, business objectives and return on marketing investment
  • Ability to be a self-starter and meet own timelines, while also working effectively in a team dynamic, both with the entire marketing team, but also leading his/her own team
