The Jaguar Land Rover Brand Experience Manager will have the key responsibility for creating and executing the strategy for all consumer experiences, inclusive of Brand Events, Driving Experiences, Sponsorships, Partnerships, Product Placement, Retailer Launch Meetings, Global Event Extensions and Motor Shows. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the strategy and revenue generation of the JLR Branded Goods/Merchandise program.


Responsibilities:


Reporting to the Vice President, Jaguar Land Rover Marketing, this role in critical in developing an integrated approach to experiential marketing strategy and launch planning, whilst retaining the agility expected of this dynamic business function. Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop a fully aligned strategy for each of the 3 experiential business units: Events & Sponsorships; Driving Experiences, Merchandising;
  • Develop experiential strategies in support of new model launch plans and oversee all execution activities;
  • Build and broaden Jaguar’s and Land Rover’s product and brand awareness, drive retailer traffic through qualified leads and source and identify highly qualified prospects with purchase intent; Identify and develop key brand metrics & KPIs, focused on throughput, lead generation and sale conversion;
  • Frequently liaise and communicate US needs and viewpoint to Global Headquarters. Cooperate with Global teams on global program extensions in US market (Motor Shows, Global Partnership activations etc.);
  • Determine and manage JLR’s product placement strategy in film, television & product seeding in the entertainment industry. Actively build entertainment portfolio with brand appropriate entertainment partners & feature film franchises;
  • Lead branded merchandise strategy, build growth plans inclusive of retailer, ecommerce and 3rd party sales channels. Identify and deliver annual revenue and growth targets and positive P&L;
  • Support the annual business planning process and delivery of the annual marketing budget / forecast commitments, overseeing the management of FME and fleet vehicles;
  • Develop staffing resource plans, as well as responsibility for annual budget planning process.


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related discipline (MBA is a plus);
  • Strong business acumen, with a proven background within Experiential Marketing/Event Planning;
  • 7-10 years’ experience in automotive or other premium brand product/service industry;
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills;
  • Enthusiasm and drive, with commitment and confidence to achieve goals on time with minimal supervision;
  • A proven background in driving results;
  • Key ability to adapt in a fast moving, exciting and involving environment;
  • Ability to quickly understand complex issues – and able to clearly articulate key messages to senior management team;
  • Must be a self-starter, highly motivated and able to build a strong cross functional network;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills providing the ability to present at senior level meetings;
  • Meticulous organizational, planning, time management, project management and budget management skills;
  • Familiar with and highly effective in a corporate culture and managing inter-departmental relations;
  • Previous supervisory experience;
  • Flexibility to travel 40% nationally/internationally; weekend work/travel to be expected.
