The Sponsorships, Entertainment, and Events team is chartered with providing a single point of accountability for the development, oversight, and execution of brand sponsorships in the area of sports, entertainment, and events. We are seeking a Manager of Sponsorship Marketing that will be responsible day to day management and execution of T-Mobile’s MLB sponsorship at the local level.
Description
The individual should have knowledge and experience in sponsorship marketing along with a fundamental understanding of marketing principles. The role will handle day to day management and execution of key MLB sponsorship programs including planning, execution, and measurement of programs. This person will be responsible for executing solution driven program that support the overall MLB sponsorship strategy and link directly to T-Mobile’s brand and business priorities using sound business rationale, consumer insights, and other business information. The role will work cross functionally with multiple internal departments, properties, and agencies.
Responsibilities
Management and execution of MLB team sponsorships and athletes
Management and executional support of MLB national sponsorship programs
Support business units and field marketing in leveraging MLB sponsorship
Establish and manage relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
Day to day management of sponsorship marketing agency
Develop and present sponsorship marketing programs
Establish key performance indicators, measure, and deliver results
Management of program budgets
Qualifications
Experience working in or with sponsorship marketing properties on behalf of a big brand
Proven ability to develop and execute marketing programs with major sponsorship properties
Creative thinker with an understanding of marketing campaigns
Proven asset management skills with the ability to manage the development of core brand assets
Ability to think critically and react quickly and calmly in high-pressure situations
Ability to work in a fast paced environment and able to consistently meet deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills, willingness to accept and provide direction, ability to work independently while remaining a team player
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business or a related field
Minimum of 5 years experience in sponsorship marketing or related field
Ability to attend relevant meetings and events, possibly including holidays and/or in excess of 40 hours per week, travel up to 10% of the year
Must also demonstrate excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Telecom and/or MLB or other major sports property experience a plus
