Procurement category manager for the Marketing, Events & Sponsorships. Develop the category strategy using the Procurement Category Management Process. Key role responsibilities: strategy development, sourcing, selection, negotiation, contracting, supplier relationship management and supplier performance management. Serve as category owner and provide expertise to all key internal stakeholder functions. Provide innovative business solutions that create value, manage risk and ensure compliance for key stakeholder groups and the business overall. Serve as Artemis project lead for the category, managing all projects and ensuring alignment with the strategy. Assist with other Marketing & Indirect Procurement categories and initiatives as required.

Develop strong stakeholder relationships by working in tandem with Marketing –procurement provides commercial expertise, Marketing provides functional technical expertise and business needs
Early involvement in the planning and budgetary processes for Events and Sponsorships to develop category strategy and to optimize value, minimize risk and ensure compliance
Value Creation (30% of time)
Create value for the organization through category management and the commercial aspects of the role. Value creation or enhancements in cost, service, quality, innovation, sustainability, etc.
Artemis Ambassador / Lead (30% of time)
Ensure alignment with Group Procurement category strategies and initiatives
Serve as market category lead for Artemis projects and initiatives
Communicate and implement Artemis change management practices and ways of working
Participate in best practices sharing
Nature & Scope:
Relationships: Suppliers; PRUSA Marketing (Sales Operations, Trade Marketing, Brand Marketing); PRUSA Field Sales; PRUSA Legal and Finance; Group Procurement; BCO and other MCO - Marketing, Sales, and Procurement Teams. Act with honesty and openness in an ethical manner with colleagues and suppliers in accordance with Pernod Ricard USA and Pernod Ricard S.A. standards. Ensure cost, service, quality, compliance, confidentiality and social responsibility of all in all undertakings on behalf of Pernod Ricard.
Experience/Background:
Category Manager experienced with Procurement’s Category Management Process
Minimum five years demonstrated Category Management experience that includes
2-3 years of Marketing – Events & Sponsorships experience
Consumer products industry experience e.g. food & beverage, healthcare & pharmaceuticals.
Spirits, Wine or Beverage industry experience a plus
Strong negotiation and contracting skills with a proven record of measurable achievements
Experience in working closely with marketing and general business strategy will be an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to align with influence marketing
Customer service orientation, openness, collaborative, flexible, independent, self-motivated
Working Conditions:
General Office: Work is performed in a typical office environment. Limited demands for movement and lifting. Normal visual, hearing and language acuity required for correspondence and computer usage.
Travel:
Travel is expected and required between PRUSA’s NYC and Purchase offices
Estimated Travel with suppliers, MCOs, BCOs, Group Procurement: Up To 25%
