Etsy is seeking an Event Marketing Manager who is a self starter, leader, and passionate about providing a channel to connect individuals with meaningful experiences. We are looking for an organized and efficient individual to help facilitate coordination of the events process. This person will be creatively-minded to concept ideas, and execute scalable in-person events. They will thrive in a collaborative environment and effectively communicate with internal teams and external partners. This full-time position is based in Brooklyn, NY and reports to the Sr. Brand Partnerships & Event Manager.

About the Job


The Event Marketing Manager will help develop and implement Etsy’s marketing strategy for all external facing offline events including both consumer and seller events.


Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate the event roadmap and ensure proper expectations and KPIs are communicated throughout the organization
  • Plan and develop the event strategy, aligning with overall business goals and objectives
  • Deliver creative event concepts to develop memorable, unique and scalable experiences for consumers, sellers and all public events
  • Develop, maintain and update processes of working with internal teams, allowing the team to be nimble to execute events quickly and efficiently
  • Create & manage project plans, schedules/milestones, and event requirements
  • Lead event debriefs with stakeholders to consistently track KPIs in a way that allows for evaluation of success across all events
  • Develop and follow annual and event specific timelines
  • Create quarterly and yearly budgets and forecasts, while accurately tracking expenses
  • Lead, motivate and manage the professional development and day-to-day operations of the Events Marketing Team
  • Hire, train and manage a team of internal and external temporary and full-time employees and agency partners
  • Assist in all areas of event execution as needed


    Required Skills

  • 6-8 years event production experience required
  • 1-2 years managing a team of 1+ employees required
  • 2-4 years project management experience preferred
  • Exceptionally organized and have the ability to priority-set and implement multiple projects with superior follow through
  • Skilled in event marketing, planning, executing, and evaluating
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate strength in perception of the environment around you, striking the balance between efficiency, consistency and managing change
  • Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to work cross functionally and synthesize feedback from teams such as marketing, creative, etc.
  • Proficient in Powerpoint, Word, Excel and/or corresponding Google Docs tools
