The Director, International Marketing Partnerships is responsible for supervising the promotional program and creative approvals process for all international marketing partnerships. This includes liaising with brand partners, production partners, international offices, internal Home Office departments and Legal.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop relationships with key partners and agencies to ensure that promotional execution phase is conducted with outstanding customer service and creative excellence in mind.
  • For major Global or Multi-Territory partnerships, serve as key partner contact during the execution phase of the program – including all communications with partner senior management.
  • Supervise Coordinator in managing and tracking progress of all international deals, including confirmed and pending activity via detailed, customized reports.
  • Liaise with Legal to manage contract negotiation on all Global or Multi-Territory promotions.
  • Oversee Coordinator in trafficking assets to partners and approving creative materials.
  • Stay up to date on overall marketing strategy for each title and ensure that deal submissions and creative materials reflect this strategy.
  • Supervise coordinator in reviewing creative submissions and ensuring that all character, legal and talent guidelines are followed in creative submissions.
  • Proactively manage territories and partners to encourage bigger picture thinking and ideation that could help grow the partnership.
  • Manage and oversee the creation of wrap reports for each film summarizing worldwide promotional activities for executive analysis of deals, creative and overall strategic fulfillment.
  • Work with department Coordinator and outside agencies to develop approved premium catalogs and prize packages that can be used by prospective promotional partners.
  • Develop open communication with international offices and promotions agents by participating in regular calls and acting as a resource in the execution of promotional campaigns.


    Required Skills

  • 7 + years of experience within film promotions, preferably in a studio environment
  • International experience a plus (or proven interest in the international field)
  • Strong interpersonal skills required; possession of a professional and courteous demeanor. This is critical as much of the job requires working with other departments, divisions and countries.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Superior written, verbal, and organizational skills
  • Must be solution-oriented
  • Must be a highly self-motivated and a team player
  • Be proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • College graduate or equivalent years of experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree a plus.
  • Fluency in other language(s) a plus
