Zagster is a fast-growing startup backed by leading transportation investors and based in Cambridge, MA with a mission to make bicycling the world’s most loved form of transportation.


Zagster provides the hardware, software, and operational systems that power more than 150 bike share programs in over 30 states, including programs for cities like Albuquerque and campuses including The Ohio State University, Duke, Yale, Samsung, and General Motors.


Overview


Zagster recently announced our partnership with Zipcar, bringing our bike sharing solution to college campuses around the US under the "Zipbike" brand. Brand partnerships like this represent a major opportunity in the bike sharing industry and Zagster is focused on providing unique value to leading transportation and consumer brands. We are looking for an experienced executive to search relentlessly for new strategic partnership opportunities, identify key growth areas and develop new business to ensure we meet our growth goals. This is an executive level position reporting directly to the CEO.


Responsibilities

  • Business Development: Full responsibility for driving new revenue streams from existing and new partners and sponsors.
  • Collaboration and Delivery: Collaborate and build strong teamwork and communication with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Product, Finance, Program Management, Legal and others to ensure delivery of value proposition to partners and sponsors.
  • Deal Structuring: Full responsibility for negotiating and structuring partnership and sponsorship deals of varying complexity.


    Required Skills

  • 10+ years of senior level business development or enterprise sales experience
  • Ability to lead all aspects of a top tier relationship (executive meetings, business development discussions, contract negotiations, account planning, technology planning, and long term opportunity identification).
  • Strong foundation in contract negotiation and management including integration of elements from partnering groups such as finance, legal and product.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and expertise in consultative selling methods.
