Weedmaps is in need of a strategic Influencer Manager to join our team in Orange County or Los Angeles. Your primary goal is to embed the Weedmaps brand into key authentic cultural moments and social conversations that drive brand advocacy across the spectrum of social influence.
As the Influencer Manager, you will drive the brand’s influencer and strategic partnership strategies with the goal of increasing brand awareness, earned media value, content creation and brand activation across channels of engagement. This role requires strong leadership, communications and relationship management skills to deliver comprehensive programs across social media, events, sponsorship activation, and branded content creation that helps drive brand love, advocacy, and cultural relevancy.
The ideal candidate will be collaborative, ambitious, and knowledgeable about the music, sports, gaming, tech, art and other relevant industries where marijuana culture is pervasive.
Responsibilities:
Work with Brand, Digital and Business Development to assist in the ideation, identification and execution of influencer partnerships for Team Weedmaps as well as 2nd and 3rd Tier influencer program initiatives
Research and identify key influencers, bloggers and online media at varying levels that align with Weedmaps influencer strategy and goals
Manage the execution of influencer seeding strategies to support product launches, brand campaigns and social media drivers
Act as the liaison between influencers and the brand, maintaining a clear channel of contact and nurturing relationships
Works closely with Social and PR stakeholders to optimize and integrate influencer strategies to gain content and seeding activation alignment
Remain abreast of key influencers and trends in the defined target markets, industries and cultural groups
Prepare creative and content briefs, in support of marketing campaigns to generate content and promotion across relevant influencer network
Partner with Events, Sales and Channel marketing to effectively manage influencer partnerships around consumer and partner events in regional markets
Develop and own program KPIs and reporting results for review regularly; propose recommendations and opportunities
Ensure consistency and accuracy of brand messaging
Qualifications:
7+ years media relations, integrated communications, influencer, entertainment marketing, strategic partnerships, sponsorship/event activation experience
Passionate about social media and extremely knowledgeable about influencers and influencer platforms
Extensive experience in digital media and social communications platforms as well as software stacks for managing reporting and analysis
Experienced establishing KPIs and applying quantitative and qualitative insights to analyzing the impact of influencer PR programs
Ability to identify trends in the industry through careful research and analysis
Effective working independently and ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
BA in marketing, business, communications or related field
