Purpose Responsible for assisting in the development of the adidas player strategy, including scouting, signing and maintaining relationships with our adidas contracted players. Lead and drive adidas Generation adidas and Homegrown player strategy with MLS.


Key Accountabilities

  • Work with Sr. Sports Marketing Manager to develop and drive the adidas player strategy for the US.
  • Scout next generation players and maintain a database of potential signings.
  • Sign and retain key players, working with both agents and internal stakeholders to obtain the targeted players within the assigned budget.
  • Maintain daily relationships with players, ensuring a premium level of service.
  • Assist with the execution of athlete appearances and retail promotions
  • Heavy travel and overtime may be required during peak season

  • Extensive knowledge of assigned sport/category

  • Strong Negotiation Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to communicate with people on different levels within and outside the organization Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook)


    Qualifications

  • Four year college or university degree, emphasis in marketing or business preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years related experience and/or training; Equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be substituted for a degree.
