The Music Marketing Manager handles the execution of TuneIn’s marketing campaigns
in the music vertical, including content marketing initiatives, branded sponsored content
and festival activation campaigns. The goal of the Music Marketing Manager is to secure
marketing opportunities to drive new TuneIn users, work cross functionally to ensure
campaigns are run in a smooth and measurable way, build performance reports that
track campaign value delivered to TuneIn and our partners, promote the TuneIn brand
within the music industry and maintain a positive working relationship between TuneIn
and its music industry partners.
This individual is detail oriented, able to think independently and exercise judgement in
order to identify marketing opportunities, create compelling marketing campaigns and
handle requests and issues that vary across internal and external stakeholders. This
position collaborates with the entire Marketing team as well as teams for Content,
Operations, Legal, Design, Engineering, and Product.
What You'll Do
Create and execute marketing campaigns to promote content that drives new TuneIn
users and supports existing users
Manage marketing campaign set-up and communicate to TuneIn team to ensure
proper execution
Measure, track and communicate campaign results to continue to evolve and grow
business
Manage day-to- day communication between TuneIn and music industry stakeholders,
including regular communication with main content partner contacts
Proactively coordinate with Content and Marketing teams to ensure everyone is up to
date on current and upcoming marketing campaigns and priorities
Work with labels and TuneIn legal department to help facilitate the creation of content
that is unique to TuneIn (i.e. – TuneIn Sessions).
Source and manage outside vendors and agencies to help create and leverage unique
TuneIn content / events.
Help manage and execute TuneIn presence at recurring annual industry conferences
and events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required.
At least 5-7 years of marketing experience, preferably with experience in digital
media and music industries.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of representing TuneIn
and its interests to a wide variety of external stakeholders.
Must have a collaborative work style. Ability to work on multiple projects
simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment. Resourceful self-starter
Team player with extensive experience working cross functionally.
Aptitude for data and report building, experience with analytics software a plus.
Must have a passion for music and extensive knowledge of the industry
landscape.
Must be very organized, with specific attention to detail.
Independently navigate the creative process, can collaborate and negotiate successfully with other teams while being proactive, resourceful and flexible along the way.
Experience working with record labels and music managers a plus, as is a knowledge of digital music rights.
