The Event Marketing Manager builds brands and drives awareness & trial via event marketing. The role focuses on translating brand strategy into compelling brand experience. A skilled event marketer, you will lead major experiential tours & other platforms, working cross functionally to drive planning through to execution & review, bringing operational leadership across a diversified event program. Key areas of focus are: event & sponsorship management, multiple city tours, internal communications, legal planning, sample shipments, budgeting, measurement & evaluation. Includes travel to events to plan & facilitate execution of event marketing programs.


Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively as a key member of the Event Marketing team to drive success of national event marketing programs to build consumer awareness & trial, achieving brand and corporate objectives
  • Create & activate event programs that engage our trade as well as building consumer affinity
  • Work closely with Event Director to complete yearly event planning & budget projections
  • Lead best-in-class multiple city tours to bring to life a single-minded brand promise/experience, and work closely with external agencies
  • Lead event contract and supply approvals with CBrands Legal teams Manage event spends in line with agreed budget requirements and provide monthly reconciliation of financial information
  • Work closely with Event Marketing Specialist to ensure logistics of wine supply are in line with agreed service standards
  • Internal communications to engage & inform stakeholders of key projects & successes
  • ROI projects & event recaps, working monthly with Specialist on accurate metrics capture
  • Research industry trends, category changes and new sponsorship opportunities
  • Oversee day-to-day event logistics with internal and external business units
  • Attend local event and travel to select national events, as required


    Required Skills

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s required
  • 4+ years event marketing experience
  • Travel required: 30%
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Ability to manage agency staff & vendors
  • Creative, enthusiastic leader with ability to multi-task and collaborate across levels & groups
  • Attention to detail and customer service orientation
  • Passion for wine & food, and the events industry Preferred Qualifications
  • Alcohol beverage industry experience
