POSITION PURPOSE


The Director of Experiential Events will play a key role in strategizing, managing, and executing interactive and experiential programs/PR events for the brand and rapidly growing beauty industry.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work alongside the PR and marketing team to create, execute and manage brand campaigns to include new and innovative event ideas to generate brand awareness and create buzz for new launches
  • Produce high-impact influencer and consumer event experiences with the ability to formulate and manage a budget, and give visibility into their process successfully
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams including PR, social media, marketing, and sales to generate measurable results - increase earned media value, brand awareness, and ultimately drive sales with each event
  • Work directly with influencers, talent and high-profile partners when needed.
  • Ability to make wise decisions in high-stress situations that are out of our control and thinks strategically in the best interest of the brand/company
  • Organized, highly detail oriented, and not afraid to get their hands dirty, which means jumping in to handle tasks that range from hiring an agency to plan an event, to maintaining and updating guest lists, to booking a venue themselves for an event or to working a check-in table.
  • Responsibilities are wide-ranging when needed on-site at an event

    SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY


    The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities:


    Successful employee will have at least 10+ years of experience organizing, planning, executing and overseeing events. This role should have a great sense of how to build an event experience that brings a unique brand to life and understand creating experiences for influencers and consumers. Experience creating stunts and surprise installations. Must have a solid understanding of the channels that contribute to creating a truly integrated experience and how they work together to maximize the reach beyond event day. (ie, PR, social media, paid media). Must be a team leader and should have directly managed an event team as well as lead other internal stakeholders in managing small to large experiential programs.

  • Travel both domestic and international.

    QUALIFICATION STANDARDS Education/ Experience/ Licenses or Certifications:

  • Four-year degree, marketing or PR preferred, but not mandatory.
  • Minimum 10 years of related event experience
