Job Duties, Responsibilities and Requirements


The Global Triathlon/Ironman Marketing Manager will lead our Global partnership with IRONMAN, which includes activation, original content production and merchandise for all 70.3 and 140.6 IM events in North America (NAM), Europe (EMEA), as well as the annual world championship events for both distances.


  • Manages and Negotiates Triathlete Partnerships
  • Manages Triathlon (event) partnerships, especially our global sponsorship with Ironman.
  • Oversees and manages all Triathlon marketing, operations, content development, merchandise and activation items.
  • Initiates and leads regular communication with all Business Unit cross functional teams regarding Triathlon, including GTM, digital, creative and sales.
  • Initiates and leads regular Triathlon/Ironman communication with all global markets, especially NAM and EMEA.
  • Leads communication and all deliverables with Ironman HQ, including curated content, operations, merchandise, and activation items.
  • Takes a lead role the development of aligned Triathlon short & long term strategy, including a fully integrated 360 degree approach. Initiates and executes a quarterly global Triathlon update, including post event recaps, sell through/shoe count totals, custom content success and previews upcoming events/activations.
  • Creates and executes a successful activation strategy to expand brand awareness and maximize our partnership with Ironman. Works within fiscal targets and aligns closely with brand and sports marketing objectives.


    Required Skills

    Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 7+ years marketing experience, including management and leadership experience
  • Advanced business acumen, including the ability to think strategically and then take appropriate action; the ability to work seamlessly with cross functional teams, markets and senior management.
  • Comprehension and expertise within the Triathlon industry, including global events, athletes, social media channels and retail landscape. High energy individual, that is extremely comfortable traveling, working unstructured hours in numerous markets and cultures.
  • Excellent Oral and written communication skill, with both internal and external personnel
  • Highly experienced in building collaborative relationships between cross functional teams, official partners, volunteers and colleagues. Strategic and analytical thinking, especially related to HOKA brand objectives and maximizing our global brand awareness via the Ironman partnership
  • The ideal candidate must be extremely thorough, flexible and results oriented in a vastly changing array of markets, languages, time zones and cultures.
  • Team leader and player with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a highly moving and stressful environment
