As a Senior Director, Sports Strategy you will play a visible, critical role as the strategic thought leader and trusted advisor to your client counterparts and be seen as a vital part of their Sports strategy team, representing the voice of the client within Hearts & Science. To be successful in this role, you will bring your strong history of being a change driver and innovator, taking smart risks and making tough decisions when necessary to deliver results.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Be a champion for the brands you manage and continually strive to find innovative solutions that build the brands
Provide expertise and leadership in performance marketing across all channels: traditional, digital, and emerging media
Maintain high level of service to client stakeholders
Lead and develop annual account plans and create clear accountability measures that ensure client and agency achieve financial and business success
Represent and promote the interests of Hearts & Science internally and externally
Manage the relationship with internal teams and technology partners
Extensive experience in media, preferrably in a marketing agency environment
Experience in sports strategy within a media agency environment preferred
Experience helping clients understand how to apply media thinking to their business effectively
Team leadership experience and a track record of building and mentoring direct reports at various levels
Expertise and temperment to create change; from reach-centric planning to audience-planning
Navigation skills in a multi-brand business, where central media teams provide guidance
Media/business acumen
Leadership with client partnership experience
Exceptional communication/ombudsman skills
Financial management experience
Knowledge management experience
Bachelor’s degree required (Marketing, advertising or communications, MIS or stats preferred)
