We are looking for Senior Managers to work in our TMT/Sports practice with a focus on Strategy and Analytics. Among the many clients our Technology, Media & Telecom practice serves are advertising and marketing organizations and functions. Deloitte helps these organizations respond to the rapidly shifting market, including bridging traditional and digital distribution channels and leveraging next generation capabilities.


As a Senior Manager, you will lead large complex engagements. These challenges encompass everything from:


  • Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content.
  • Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors.
  • Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process. Practice Development & Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought-ware" and "point-of-view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals.
  • People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities.
  • Helping clients increase revenues, decrease costs, accelerate cash flow, and improve margin and operational workflows. The team

    Required Skills

    Qualifications

  • 10 plus years of experience working in the sports sector having resulted in creating an extensive network of contacts across sports teams, leagues, associations, media outlets, conferences, and colleges.
  • Experience working for a sports team, league, or association or a large consulting firm.
  • Experience selling and managing the delivery of consulting services to sports and media clients either at a sports marketing firm or at other consulting company.
  • Experience in the design, development, and commercialization of sports-related consulting offerings.
  • Experience working with and/or providing services to media companies as related to broadcast, digital, and social assets.
  • Experience shaping, negotiating, and managing sponsorship assets and relationships for brands.
  • Ability to travel 80-100% of the time (Monday – Thursday/Friday)


    Recommended Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a change agent for or within sports organizations.
  • Must be able to partner with sports practice leadership to drive significant revenue growth in target growth platforms for the sports practice
  • Must be able to be an extension of the sports practice providing sponsorship and marketing strategy related services to organizations with significant investments in sports sponsorships (e.g. CP, Retails, FSI, Media, Provider)
  • Need to be able to partner with Deloitte’s Media practice to grow Deloitte’s presence and services for sports-media related companies
  • Provide expertise and SME support to Deloitte’s sponsorship practice to help ensure Deloitte extracts the maximum value of those assets and leverages them to drive addition revenue
