The Assistant Manager, Experiential Marketing ~ Works directly with and to support the Manager, Experiential Marketing to facilitate successful execution of Experiential Marketing programs and endeavors. Supports Experiential projects to achieve key Marketing initiatives (increase brand awareness, increase consideration, improve perception and drive dealer traffic).


Major Responsibilities:

  • Work with the Manager, Experiential Marketing, IWA and Advantage to manage Hyundai National Experiential Marketing programs.
  • Responsibilities can include supporting: vendor management, budget management, expense tracking, updating and maintaining a variety of event schedules, credential requests, Activation floor plans, communicating with Event Managers traveling to event/activation locations as needed
  • Makes decisions for proper on site execution.
  • Supports and facilitates process promotional vehicle giveaways.
  • The development and execution of tactics to support Hyundai Branding at experiential events
  • Assist with development of new and/or refurbishment of existing Experiential Exhibit Properties.
  • Review and provide input on all graphics.
  • Evaluate and follow department processes and procedures. Look for ways to improve them to ensure success and value for all projects.
  • Assist in the selection, evaluation, and management of all required vendors.
  • Assist and communicate with HMA departments, regions, and vendors as required.
  • Additional tasks and responsibilities as required.
  • Assist in delivering presentations to HMA Execs as needed.
  • Development of department calendar, program communication (executive communication and recaps, DCS, Hyundai Facebook, liaison to region and dealers),
  • securing legal and product planning approvals; and assists marketing partners in execution of specific initiatives (event staffing, set up/tear down, vehicle display, sweepstakes, lead management, interaction with consumers).
  • Inventory Management – research, secure estimates, order, manage and track usage of department inventory, including, but not limited to, uniforms, premiums and exhibit properties.
  • Sports initiatives
  • Hospitality program development and execution
  • Maintain an awareness of changing market trends, consumer attitudes and opinions.


    Position will also work with Experiential Operations support team and/or directly execute:

  • vehicle lists and fleet management
  • Submit and manage Auto Show and Auto Show Specialty vehicle trooping.
  • Budget management support
  • PR Submission
  • PO payment/processing
  • Check Requests
  • Change Notices Submission
  • Misc. spreadsheets, etc.
  • Generate month-end accruals and quarterly spending reports.
  • Generate year-end accruals.
  • All of the above with the guidance and approval of the Manager of Experiential and Marketing Leadership.
  • Demonstrated growth can lead to direct management and oversight of execution of Hyundai’s participation in/of misc. events/endeavors.
  • Successful candidates must be available to travel up to ~70%.


    Authority:

  • This position requires ability to problem solve, make decisions and operate independently.
  • Position evaluates direct reports.
  • Position approves travel and expenses for direct reports.


    Required Skills


    Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Master’s degree a plus


    Related Experience:

  • Three to Five years of work experience with at least five years marketing or promotions experience, preferably automotive agency and/or related client side experience
  • Agency experience a plus
  • Four plus years of supervisory experience desired


    Skill/Knowledge:

  • Ability to manage in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environment, with multiple projects and vendor partners
  • Heavy emphasis on interpersonal relationship skills, analytical skills, written and oral communication skills and leadership skills
  • Basic computer skills and time management skills


    Physical requirements:
