The Director of Sports Marketing will help grow the brand identity through retail marketing strategies and brand campaigns. As part of the Marketing team, this individual is the key point of contact for all retail and B2B marketing efforts that will drive sales of Theragun products across multiple categories. Therabody is seeking an individual who is a creative innovator at heart, and who can envision, build, and execute marketing strategies across the lifestyle and wellness channels to build the brand, increase recognition, and drive sales. The Retail Marketing Manager develops, delivers, ensures execution, and measures the impact of marketing initiatives with key in venue customers to include product sell-in tools and meetings, point of purchase drivers, and enforcing brand and product presentation standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Seek marketing partnership opportunities for MLB, NBA, NFL and other sporting avenues including prospecting, outreach, pitching and closing deals
Strategically utilize our sponsored assets and events with marketing communication
support to associate with Therabody’s brand and products
Negotiate and execute contracts, strategic alliances, events, product procurement, delivery, service to and by the assets
Manage product and service plans and lead teams to provide best service to assets
Strategize and execute precisely as it relates to the overall Marketing Plan
Build a portfolio of partners to efficiently and effectively communicate with the market
Manage the execution, monitoring and reporting of all programs/events around the assets
Drive Revenue for the allocated region - responsible for a book of business and driving revenue and expansion business in an allocated list of current customers.
Ensure that the teams and individuals wear and represent the products according to our Marketing Plan to communicate Therabody as the leading performance brand
Maximize and follow the exact plan of the sports marketing budget according to the execution of the Marketing Plans/Sports Marketing strategy
Develop the procedures to control, track the distribution and manage inventory of
promotional products
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of consumer marketing experience at an agency or a fast growing company that has scaled
Experience with consumer marketing with a focus on lifestyle and/or wellness
Demonstrated sales leadership and management skills, including ability to motivate others
Excellent organization, presentation, written and verbal communication skills
Has demonstrated the ability to build cross-channel marketing programs that deliver on business and brand objectives. Is an independent, strategic, and creative thinker, who can filter opportunities and creative work through the lens of what’s right for the business.
Has consistently demonstrated the ability to build efficient national programs and campaigns that resonate locally.
Has authored strategic marketing briefs and partnered with internal creative teams and external creative agencies leading to best-in-class campaigns.
