The Sponsorship Activation Specialist is responsible for providing a wide range of support to the sponsorships team at Wintrust Financial Corporation, working with partners like the Cubs, Sox, March of Dimes and Chicago Auto Show at a bank that truly cares for its communities. Gain additional experience in areas of sponsorship marketing, campaign planning and project management. The ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and extremely organized. The candidate will need to work independently and within a group in a high-paced work environment. They should be able to multi-task efficiently, while delivering high quality output with superior attention to detail.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in management of sponsorship activations, as outlined in partnership agreements.
  • Maintain list and calendar of all sponsorship assets and deadlines for sponsorships assigned.
  • Audit sponsorship activations to confirm execution of all agreed upon assets.
  • Develop and execute strategic marketing plans for growing business through use of sponsorship affiliations for those sponsorships assigned.
  • Collaborate with internal marketing groups in the creation of assets and campaigns, including traditional and digital marketing.
  • Perform research for potential sponsorships.
  • Develop strong working relationships with contacts at assigned sponsorships.
  • Other duties may be assigned based on skills knowledge and proficiencies.
  • Attend on-site sponsorship activation activities as needed.


    Required Skills

  • Ability to work cross-functionally, think independently while simultaneously managing multiple projects.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and creative oral/written communication skills; a high degree of initiative, confidence, and energy to set and achieve goals, meet deadlines, and stage multiple projects efficiently, and ability to work collaboratively with others.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Teams).
  • Previous marketing and/or sponsorship activation experience required. 1-3 years marketing experience preferred.
  • Bachelor degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
