  • Bring consumer, school and sport insights into concepts
  • Execute the category direction with school/team/event positioning
  • Work with all creation functions to deliver product concepts with rich, authentic storytelling
  • Create ranges within the category from both an image and commercial point of view


    Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage range direction from concept to delivery
  • Propose a clear strategy for the range and how to build with clearly communicated lifecycle management to partners
  • Show full understanding of the product creation process whilst managing all tasks within the given time frames, with special attention to balancing service to partners and category direction
  • Work within cross-functional team and with interlinked departments to enable an efficient product creation process with an optimum product outcome
  • Partner with schools/US Sports/Sports Marketing to create holistic concepts for partner programs/events that are authentic to basketball, the school/partner and the brand
  • Actively analyse business, draw conclusions and propose action steps
  • Strong knowledge of product information systems and the interlinking functions – clarity on respective timelines
  • Good level of product expertise to create industry leading, innovative products
  • Be considered as a range expert by partners, markets and retailers
  • Prepare and present ranges and business related topics - with respective audience in mind - by using relevant structure and content
  • Work independently on projects and follow up on project development
  • Communicate strategy, pitch concepts, gain buy in for direction from partners
  • Position adidas to own the basketball locker room by creating connection between on-court outfitting and team offering to capitalize on commercial opportunities
  • Drive authentication, energy, innovation, one adidas and unification for the category through product line with a vision for the complete offer connected with marketing partners in inline and footwear
  • Assists in creating activation plans to drive authentic stories with
  • Sports marketing and Brand marketing.
  • Interact with Testing to provide expertise on benchmark and approval/rejection of fit and wear test of range
  • Relationship management with brand partners
  • Participate in consumer focus groups to acquire greater consumer insight for creation, authentic storytelling, connection to programs, sell in and sell through


    Key Relationships:

  • Maintain a strong relationship and ensure constant dialogue/feedback with business unit and across other BU´s
  • Footwear
  • cross-functional team ( Design, Product Operations, Materials,
  • Costing, Planning, Marketing Operations, SMSU, Sports Marketing, Licensing, miTeam, Team Services, USTS, Accessories) markets and relevant key retailers
  • NCAA Compliance Committee, SpoMa programs and Reps

  • PC skills (MS Office programs, especially PowerPoint and Excel)


    Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • College degree, preferably in marketing/business
  • Minimum of 5 years Product Marketing experience with APP background
  • Experience in sports marketing, played college sports or worked within college sports operations group helpful/preferred.
