Procter & Gamble signs deal with ARCA Racing Series The Automobile Racing Club of America, Procter & Gamble and Menards today announced that the multi-national consumer goods corporation would become an official partner and major sponsor of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards beginning in 2019.
Menards signs deal with ARCA Racing Series Menards will continue their presenting sponsorship role in ARCA, and will sponsor the Menards 200 ARCA Racing Series event at Toledo Speedway for a sixth consecutive year."We are proud to once again sponsor the ARCA Racing Series and look forward to another interesting season," said Jeff Abbott, promotions manager and spokesman. "We appreciate all the loyal Menards customers who continue to make us their choice for home improvement. Our relationship with vendor partners Ansell Gloves and Scott brands and customers allows us to remain involved with ARCA. We are both excited and grateful for this opportunity."The announcement was made as part of a press conference for Toledo Speedway held at Hollywood Casino. "The business model we have built with Menards and the vendors involved have proven to be a win-win relationship," said Mark Gundrum, Vice President of Business Development and Corporate Partnerships for ARCA. "The vendors gain distribution, and the end result is increased product sales, business for Menards, and a promotional program for both."The Menards 200 will once again take place the weekend before Memorial Day in May, and will feature ARCA Racing Series Practice and Menards Pole Qualifying presented by Ansell on Saturday, May 17, along with racing by the ARCA Sportsman Division. The Menards 200 will start at 2 p.m. on May 18, and is scheduled for live broadcast on FOX Sports 1.Veteran race car driver Ken Schrader made history when he won at Toledo Speedway in May of 2013. At the time, he was oldest winner in series history. He won later in the season at DuQuoin, Ill., breaking the mark he set at Toledo. Another piece of history was made at Toledo in 2013 when Kyle Benjamin became the youngest polesitter in series history.Race fans will have the opportunity to "Save Big Money" on tickets to several events again in 2014, as Menards Stores will sell advance tickets for each at substantial discounts, including the annual stop in Toledo."Menards is our most important strategic marketing partner, not only for Toledo Speedway, but for the entire ARCA Racing Series," Gundrum said. Herr Foods partners with ARCA Racing Series The Pennsylvania-based firm will continue to sponsor the Herr’s Live Life with Flavour 200 ARCA Racing Series event at Madison International Speedway, Wisconsin for a third successive year and continue as the title sponsor of the ARCA Racing Series visit to the Winchester Speedway in Indiana on 30th June.
