Jalen Alexander Hurts[1] (born August 7, 1998) is an American football quarterback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played his first three seasons of college football at Alabama, where he was part of the team that won the 2018 College Football Playoff National Championship, and used his final year of eligibility at Oklahoma. Hurts was drafted by the Eagles in the second round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Initially holding a backup role, Hurts became the Eagles' starter near the end of the 2020 season and was named the full-time starter the following year.
