The Los Angeles Times Festival of Books is the largest literary-based event in the United States. The event is a cultural and civic jewel to the L.A. community. With over 100 different indoor author Conversations, the event features nine outdoors stages and themed areas (L.A. Times Celebrity stage, Cooking stage/food trucks, LA Sound music stage, Poetry stage, Young Adult stage, Travel Smart stage, Children's stage, Hoy stage and cultural neighborhood and USC stage). Held each April in conjunction with the University of Southern California and at the USC campus, the free 2-day Festival draws over 150,000 visitors annually.
