The first Rivers U.S. Open will be taking place March 9–13 live on ESPN3. Competing in the billiard event will be 48 of the top-ranked women pool players from around the world. The event is sanctioned by the Women's Professional Billiard Association (WPBA). The WPBA was established in 1976 under the name of Women's Professional Billiard Alliance and is celebrating its 40th Anniversary in 2016 as the oldest pro player organization in the sport.
