Spikeball is one of the fastest growing sports in the US with over 300,000 players. In 2014 there were nearly 100 tournaments and over 1,000 teams ranked on a national level (see USASpikeball.com for tournament info). 2015 will bring over 200 tournaments culminating in 4 regional championships and 1 National Championship taking place at Vanderbilt University in Nashville TN in October!
The sport is best described as a cross between volleyball and foursquare. It's intense, competitive, fast, requires a lot of hand-eye coordination and extremely fast reflexes. Teams play on grass, sand, court, and anywhere else they want.
