The importance of bees in our environment is a highly topical and important issue gaining increasing coverage. In May 2015 President Obama released a, “National Strategy to Promote the Health of Honey Bees and Other Pollinators”. At Hivemind we are creating a new beehive scale with a built-in WiFi connection and accompanying smartphone app specifically designed to help educators engage students in the bee story and we are looking for sponsors to help make it happen.

One of our goals is to get this technology into the hands of educators to help engage students in the story of the bees and through that the story of environmental stewardship and sustainable food systems. Corporate sponsors, can now help us make this happen by sponsoring 50 WiFi hive scales with app, starting from $12,500. Your support will put these scales and app into the hands of educators, where the output charts that will be embedded on class/school/university/company websites, will be labelled as being made possible with the support of your company. Students/teachers/families will have repeated contact with the charts as they check them throughout the seasons to see changes taking place and so have repeated contact with your brand to reinforce your environmental credentials. There will also be excellent PR opportunities as the schools receive the hardware. The use of these charts allows for teachers to use the data in a wide variety of curriculum areas, particularly science, technology, engineering and maths.
