Started in 2008, the W&M Global Film Festival takes place annually in February and brings world cultures to Williamsburg, through film. Local audiences of students, faculty, and other community members consider each festival’s chosen theme through the pre-festival series of five films, which are introduced by William and Mary faculty. The festival itself is a four-day event featuring screenings of international and student-produced films, live performances, presentations, guest filmmakers, and receptions.
