Created by the Board of Broward County Commissioners in 1987, the Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau (GFLCVB) is a governmental agency funded by a portion of the five percent (as of July 1, 1996) tax on hotel rooms. The 38-member staff of the GFLCVB promotes the Greater Fort Lauderdale area as a premier year-round leisure and meeting destination.

Greater Fort Lauderdale Convention & Visitors Bureau partners with CBGB Festival 11/2014 NEW YORK, Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Today, the 2014 CBGB Music & Film Festival announced the lineup of its free Times Square concert, the grand finale to this annual five-day festival. On Sunday, October 12, CBGB will host New York City's largest free concert taking over six city blocks from 10:00am to 7:30pm.
