Panerai signs deal with Softbank Team Japan Panerai, which has for more than a decade sponsored its own Classic Yachts Challenge racing series, announced at SIHH that it will take an even bigger role in the world of yacht racing, becoming the official partner of the 35th America’s Cup. The Swiss-made, Florentine-born watch brand has also partnered with two major America’s Cup racing teams: Oracle Team USA, which won the most recent Cup in historic fashion, and Softbank Team Japan, the first Cup competitor from Asia in 15 years.
