The Philadelphia Union is an American professional soccer club based in the Philadelphia satellite city of Chester, Pennsylvania, which competes in Major League Soccer .
Acme Markets, which is based in Malvern, Pa., and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of Albertsons Inc., signed a deal to be the “official supermarket” of the Major League Soccer franchise. As part of its deal, Acme will be the presenting sponsor of the Union’s junior supporter club. It also gets naming rights to the youth soccer fields adjacent to the Toyota Plaza at PPL Park in Chester, Pa.
