Swansea City is pleased to announce an exciting new partnership with leading security provider Barracuda Networks. The Silicon Valley-based company will become the Swans’ first sleeve sponsor in a unique partnership that will also see Barracuda provide the club with state-of-the-art IT security to counter the growing number of advanced cyber threats. “We are delighted that Barracuda has agreed to join our partnership team,’’ confirmed Swans Chief Operating Officer Chris Pearlman. “Barracuda is a blue chip company in the heart of the Silicon Valley that operates throughout the world and the type of company we want to be associated with moving forward. “A recent internal review highlighted the fact that our IT security system wasn’t protecting us from every attack and needed a major upgrade. “With the club’s players, management team and administration staff all relying on the network day-to-day, we needed to ensure that it was fully protected from advanced threats. “With Barracuda now on board, not only do we have peace of mind that our network is safe, but we are also able to manage the network via a single pane of glass.” Barracuda’s SVP Sales International, Chris Ross, is also extremely excited about the partnership. “Having an established and respected Premier League football club such as Swansea City selecting us to protect their networks is an important accolade for Barracuda,’’ he said. “With cyber attackers becoming ever more sophisticated, it’s important that organisations replace legacy solutions so that their cyber security protection stays up-to-date with the latest threats.
