The team announced sponsorship deals with three local companies this week. The first two were Detroit-based retail lender Quicken Loans and Livonia-based graphics manufacturer Fathead, both of which are owned by Cleveland Cavaliers owner Dan Gilbert. Quicken Loans and Fathead will sponsor the Budd Lynch Veterans Suite at Joe Louis Arena, which will house military veterans throughout the season:↵ ↵The suite is used to host veterans and active military personnel during every Red Wings home game and has been named in honor of Budd Lynch.  A veteran of the Canadian Army who served during World War II and was wounded shortly after the Battle of Normandy, Lynch has been with the Red Wings for 61 years, first as a radio broadcaster, public relations director and now as public address announcer.↵ ↵
