Health Diagnostic Laboratory Inc. is giving $4 million to the Virginia Commonwealth University athletics department as part of a partnership to enhance athletics facilities. It is the second major gift to the athletics department in a little more than a week. MeadWestvaco Corporation last week pledged $3 million to help build a $14 million-$16 million basketball practice complex next to the Siegel Center.
