The Hamburg-based energy company, who hold the naming rights to the home of Bayern's Bundesliga rivals Hamburger SV, will become a second-tier premium sponsor and the club's energy efficiency partner. Imtech will work to reduce energy costs and carbon emissions at the Allianz Arena - which is set to host this year's Uefa's Champions League final - and the club's Säbener Strasse training ground. While financial terms were not released, Sponsors.de reports that Bayern's second-tier partnerships are usually valued at US$3.84 million a season, with Imtech likely to be committing slightly less due to the nature of their agreement. The deal is therefore likely to be worth an annual US$3.5 million.
