The company also operates trans-Pacific flights, including the world's two longest non-stop commercial flights from Singapore to Newark and Los Angeles on the Airbus A340-500.

The Southeast Asian Games (also known as the SEA Games), is a biennial multi-sport event involving participants from the current 11 countries of Southeast Asia. The games is under regulation of the Southeast Asian Games Federation with supervision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Olympic Council of Asia. The 27th Southeast Asian Games is scheduled to be held in Naypyidaw, the new capital of Myanmar, as well as in two other main cities, Yangon and Mandalay.

The national carrier will sponsor complimentary Economy Class tickets to Singapore as prizes for promotional activities around the region, including “NILA’s Quest”, a web-based digital game created to engage the regional community. The Games, which will be held in Singapore from June 5 to 16, will also see SIA cabin crew participating in the opening and closing ceremonies.
