Who we’re looking for


Toyota Motor North America's Global Olympic Marketing Department is looking for a passionate, qualified and highly-motivated individuals to fulfill the Global Olympics Marketing Planner position, with responsibilities for production and channel integration.


The primary responsibilities of this role is to support Toyota’s partnership with the International Olympic Committee and the International Paralympic Committee as the exclusive Mobility category sponsor of the Olympics through the 2024 Games.


Reporting to the Olympics Marketing Manager – Global Communications, this positions will be part of a team tasked to lead the global Olympic marketing effort, which will include the strategy development, planning, and production of marketing assets. We will jointly develop with our agency partners an integration strategy to maximize the reach and effectiveness of the campaign effort both domestically and worldwide. The Planner will also lead the collaboration with TMC-Marketing Division, as well as other global Toyota distributors.

Candidates should have significant knowledge and experience in all phases (pre/post) of production and channels (broadcast, print, digital, social, etc.) for marketing assets.


What you’ll be doing

  • Key responsibilities of this role will include performing at a high-level in the required competencies:
  • Responsible for leading the Colympics Team (primary advertising agencies for both TMS and TMC) on the production of marketing assets that will be used globally across all marketing channels
  • Project tracking and management of all Olympic marketing assets
  • Subject matter expert regarding compliance of marketing materials to IOC/IPC guidelines
  • Work with IOC/IPC on submission of materials for their review and approval
  • Liaison for all content leveraged by teams within TMS to ensure alignment to Look & Feel
  • Work closely with agencies and TMC on management and reconciliation of production budget
  • Manage the agency teams resource allocation
  • Effectively evaluate and manage projects SOW
  • Manage research tracker implementation and dissemination.
  • Toolkit Development - Global & Domestic
  • Serve as primary point-of-contact (POC) for communication and follow-up between TMS internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist in development and distribution of campaign design templates
  • Management of campaign assets on AdPlanner
  • Manage agency evaluation system
  • Travel – could be as high as 50%+ during peak production season


    Required Skills

    What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • Desire for a high level of responsibility and ownership and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Experience development and implementation of the global strategic product / brand plans, projects and/or campaigns
  • Passionate and enthusiastic about brand marketing and have experience solving problems, creating solutions, managing deliverables and meeting deadlines
  • Robust Microsoft Suite skills (e.g., Excel, PowerPoint) with ability to manipulate and create pivot tables and functions. Experience creating compelling, easy to understand, visually appealing presentations that tell the story and reveals the “Why” or “What If” answers
  • You have a thorough understanding of marketing metrics and analytics and you excel at providing data-driven decision support and business intelligence that is timely, accurate, and actionable.
  • Exemplary communication skills and strong business acumen to understand corporate strategy and present actionable findings to management
  • Must be able to understand complex media plans, define and identify KPIs, tools and technologies and apply post mortem learnings to future campaigns.
  • Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, high-workload environment
  • Must be able to travel as much as 25-50%+ during peak production season
