The Head of Venue Sponsorship will be responsible for developing and executing Media & Sponsorship’s venue business, including sales strategy and operating objectives. In partnership with Live Nation’s Concert Venue Team who manage the music and fan experience across Clubs, Theaters and Amphitheaters nationally, the candidate will drive improvements and growth by maximizing capital investitures, enhancing client solutions, leading local sales staff, directing operations teams and governing onsite quality across hundreds of owned & operated music venues and hundreds of valued marketers.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the annual plan for Media & Sponsorship’s Venue line of business
  • Define national and local strategy for clients, sales and execution excellence in partnership with the executive leadership team
  • Manage and maintain a high performing field team and market practitioners
  • Build alignment and working relationships with the Concert Division’s Venue Team including Local Live Nation Management and Club, Theater and Amphitheater General Managers
  • Identify areas for improvement, define requirements and business case for change in partnership with Venue General Managers, Food & Beverage, Premium Seating, Hospitality
  • Oversee ongoing operations to support day-to-day Venue business including; finance, legal, human resources, rights management and vendor processes
  • Evaluate, advise, and implement on the impact of long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies, and growth opportunities
  • Actively participate with new business opportunities and growing existing business


    Required Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, MBA Preferred
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience leading sales and marketing strategy with proven results
  • Experience leading marketing and sales teams across a complex organization and/or a business with multiple local operations (e.g., franchise business like hotels, QSR or sports organizations)
  • Demonstrated track record of success in closing large deals with multiple deal elements including (but not limited to) sponsorship, media, marketing and on-site activation
  • Experience in a conceptual sales and marketing environment.
  • Track record of success in creating unique concepts through aggregating assets, developing a value proposition and establish premium pricing.
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence teams at all levels as well as manage up to leadership.
  • Experience positioning, selling, and negotiating strategic/customized client engagements
  • In depth knowledge of all aspects of the communication mix beyond experiential and into digital, social, talent, advertising, and PR.
  • Highly motivated with a proven track record.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal and written skills.
  • Deep understanding of a wide range of industries and brands
