JOB MISSION


Reporting to the Global Style Seeker Marketing Team your role will be our defacto cultural ambassador to the world at large, interfacing with the leading edge of global culture, identifying and securing the next generation of influencers, tracking and reporting as you build out a global entertainment and influencer program within the lifestyle space and broader brand engagement.


MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Be out in the field personally connecting with the fearlessly independent leaders within creative culture - building relationships from grassroots and managing them through to maturity.
  • Manage a constantly scaling and evolving global seeding program that lives on the leading edge of culture.
  • Work with regional partners to support local market efforts and identify potential global prospects within our 6 regions (NA, EMEA, APAC, China, Japan & LATAM).
  • Deliver timely reporting on the program roll-out through KPIs that demonstrate tangible value to the wider NB business.
  • Develop strategic plans aligned with seasonal brand objectives for the fearlessly independent leaders within your charge.
  • Regularly provide feedback on cultural trends as you encounter them in the wild.
  • Ensure proper implementation of FTC/regulatory rulings when necessary.
  • Align internal communications and develop mechanisms to ensure consistency, clarity and around strategy and impact.


    Required Skills

    REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:


  • An innate maven, the candidate must demonstrate a proven knowledge of contemporary cultural and sub culture. Ideal would be an independent creator in their own right whose authenticity and credibility opens doors.
  • The candidate’s knowledge base extends to, but is not restricted to the worlds of entertainment (music, film, celebrity) and visual culture (art, design, fashion).
  • A resourceful problem solver with a D.I.Y approach.
  • Strong working knowledge of the entertainment landscape including an understanding of contracts/negotiations.
  • A genuine passion for footwear and the New Balance brand.
  • Known for acting with the integrity ethos that NB embodies.
  • Ability to multitask and keep long term focus while managing multiple projects at one time.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must, whether communicating internally or externally in your role as the point person in an environment built on relationships.
  • This is a potential contractor to permanent position.
