Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shapes how new and existing business grow. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you provide Google-caliber client service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key clients and understand how our range of product offerings can grow their business. Working with them, you set the vision and the strategy for how their advertising can reach thousands of users.

The Upfronts Programs and Packages (UPP) Team exists to drive upfront agreement growth through packaging and program development of YouTube’s products and content. We work across YouTube and Google Sales to build sponsorship programs. We then execute these programs in partnership with YouTube’s biggest advertisers. We build these sponsorships to resonate with the needs of a TV/video buyer and bring them to market during the TV upfront each year.

As the Sponsorship Program Lead you will scope, build and execute high-profile sponsorships that meet both internal needs as well as the needs of our advertisers. You’ll be expected to develop new programs working cross-functionally with Content, Marketing, Ad Operations, Legal, Ad Sales, and Product seeing them from ideation to execution.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world’s biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird’s eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.


  • Scope, build, and execute sponsorships while balancing the needs of both internal stakeholders as well as Google’s clients.
  • Identify the most impactful sales positioning/narrative to both promote and renew the sale of YouTube’s sponsorships. Develop deep internal cross-functional relationships that can be leveraged in sponsorships development.
  • Identify and solve client problems proactively balancing Google capabilities with their needs.
  • Project manage large cross-functional workgroups leveraging available support resources including Content, Marketing, Ad Operations, Legal, Ad Sales, and Product.
  • Be an expert in all aspects of TV upfront landscape, YouTube video advertising, and sponsorships.

    Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in marketing or advertising in TV, digital video, or media.

    Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience buying, selling, or executing sponsorships in tv and/or digital video.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration and/or influencing partners.
  • Experience in the YouTube ecosystem and media/marketing landscape.
  • Experience leading and executing compelling sales pitches using your ability to distill complex information for clients.
  • Full-cycle project or program management skills such as, organization, strategy, execution, implementation, and follow-up.
  • Understanding of the buying requirements and timelines associated with the US television upfront.
