An envied hotbed of technological start-ups and a live music persona renowned the world over, Austin has welcomed its next chapter in the entertainment industry, the Capital City Black Film Festival (CCBFF). In 2013, CCBFF kicked off its inaugural year with screen two days of independent films expressing the African American experience. Now, the 2014 festival is staged to be an even BIGGER event. It all takes place in August of 2014. With household names such as ACL, SXSW and Urban Music Festival in its annual calendar, Austin now includes CCBFF on the city’s list of annual premiere events.
