At Family & Leadership Empowerment Network (FLEN) we have programs where we go into the Detention Centers and the Texas Juvenile Justice System where we conduct workshops and seminars. We have Teen Parenting Programs, we provide at-risk youth and young adults with career-focused life skills training, we also have a Leadership Co-Parenting Program which is a comprehensive and interactive multi-cultural curriculum that equips custodial and non-custodial parents, foster parents, and caregivers to work together for the benefit of their children and so on. We feel that Dallas Texas is full of talented individuals young and old. It is our endeavour to SHINE a light on some of these gifted singers, musicians, dancers, artists, etc by having an annual Music and Dance Competition. Our brand new competition will feature Celebrity Judges that will include other well known music and dance artists, entertainment industry personnel, collegiate professionals. Our initial event date is Saturday August 9, 2014. We need sponsors, donors, and partners. FLEN would be very grateful for any form of sponsorship. However, our biggest expense is $4,500.00 (the total cost for the rental of our venue), at the Rosewood Center For The Arts where we are partnering with the Dallas Children Theatre (DCT).
