The PGA Jones Cup, a 36-hole tournament featuring five players from each of the 20 PGA Golf Management University programs, is named for the first PGA Golf Management University Program Director at Mississippi State University, Dr. Roland S. Jones.
Dr. Jones held the position at the University from 1985 until his passing in 1997.
The event, contested for the fifth consecutive year at PGA Golf Club, provides a platform for participants to display professionalism, integrity, character and camaraderie -- all characteristics Dr. Jones instilled in PGA Golf Management students.
