The Take to the Skies AirFest is coming May 26 & 27 at Mesquite Metro Airport. An Aviation Extravaganza featuring two days of exciting aerobatic Air Shows, a Hot Air Balloon Glow and fun family festival. Join us for the only Air Show in Dallas and the only Aerobatic Racing Challenge in the south! The Air Shows feature warbirds in close formation aerobatics, Mig17 jets…feel the afterburn!..a biplane with a stunt bike team and an array of aerobatic flying feats! Edge of your seat excitement for the whole family! We are proud to honor our military throughout this weekend event. Truly a sight to behold, the Lite the Nite balloon glow at sunset on Saturday evening showcases balloons on static display to light the sky with a spectacular glow of color. All day enjoy a variety of airplanes, helicopters, military aircraft, skydivers, powered parachutes, hang gliders, RC aircraft and more in flight and display. Some flights available to public.
