Every year Saugus High School Football hosts an annual Under the Lights Passing Tournament. Over the years, this tournament has grown to be one of the most recognized passing tournaments in Southern California with 24 of the top ranked teams participating including St. Bonaventure, Valencia, Hart, and Camerillo just to name a few. The number of D1 bound talent that comes through this tournament is astounding. The tournament has now become known for giving sports fans a preview of what to expect for the coming HS Football season. College recruiters come out to get a look as well as area coaches, sports reporters, and spectators. 340 athletes participate in this all day event. The 2016 tournament will be held on June 6 and already 20 of 24 teams have confirmed their participation.
An elite collection of 24 of the top California High School Football Teams including state Championship Contenders Camarillo, Oaks Christian, St. Bonaventure, Crescenta Valley, Valencia, Calabasas, Bishop Alemany, Muir, Downey, Hart, and Saugus High Schools just to name a few. This all day event gets media attention from the Los Angeles Times,over 20 Local News outlets around Southern California, Radio Stations, and through the online exposure.
The event draws football fans from across California as it is a great pre-season football preview of what some of the top California Highschool Football Teams will have to offer in the coming Fall Season.
